My name is Alan Anderson and ever since I was an elementary school student, writing has been an activity that I did a lot and learned to enjoy somewhat after a while. The writing that I mainly composed as a child would be like science fair projects, along with various creative writing activities.
I never found writing to be a painful activity because it allowed the jumbled up thoughts in my head to be organized in a way other school subjects couldnt. Free writing though on the other hand has been difficult for me. I think this is because when I research somthing I take notes on the subject being researched, thus utilizing the notes into my draft.
Reading that I have done in the past mainly conists of novels assigned to me throughout gradeschool as well as highschool. Most of the books Iv'e read I found intresting and enjoyable. When I was in gradeschool I remember writing different styles of poetry and short stories. Although its been some time since iv'e written either in a diary, poem, a short story, or a formal letter I do utilize my e-mail and text message each day.
When I was growing up and would hang out with my friends my grammar changed from the playground to home. I would speak more loosely and care free with my friends vs. more consertaviely with my parents.
I never have spoken a different language. I think I had one small spanish class in high school but never considered myself able to speak the language.
Essay and assignment writing I believe most definately differs from other kinds of writing such as for work, or simply social networking. The reasons for this I think is because texting theres no audience, or professor grading the essay or whatever the assignment may be. Your grade also depends on how much time and effort you put in writing the assignment which would answer why your writing.
